Basic Set Up Instructions for your JBL Link 300 Wireless Speaker

For starters, let's go ahead and familiarize ourselves with the product:

Before beginning the setup process, make sure that your JBL Link 300 speaker is charged and ready to pair.

3. JBL300: Has Google App

Access the Google Home app and touch the plus sign labeled 'Add' as shown below:

Next, touch 'Set Up Device' which should be at the top of the list of options as shown below: 

Then, touch the 'New Devices' link and the app will search for your JBL Link 300 speaker:

Follow the on screen instructions to finish adding your JBL Link 300 speaker to your home profile.

5. JBL300: Google Home App

Getting the Google Home App

The JBL Link 300 is designed for use with the Google Home App, so the first step in setting up this device is to get it!

Android (Requires Version 4.2 or Higher): Access the Google Play Store and search for Google Home then touch the green 'Install' button.

iOS (Requires Version 9.1 or Higher): Access the Apple App Store and and search for Google Home then touch the blue 'Get' button.

If this is your first time using the Google Home App, touch the blue 'Get Started' button in the lower right hand side of the screen. From there, you will be asked to choose which Google account you wish to associate with the app. If the account displayed isn't the one you want to use, touch 'Use Another Account' then touch 'OK'.

Then, you can either watch an introductory video describing what the app can do or move on to setting up the app.

6. JBL300: Set Up Home

Next, you will need to create and configure your account. Touching the 'Get Started' link will take you to the device set up screen. 

The JBL Link 300 is made to work with the Google Home app, so touch the 'New Devices' link. Next, you will need to choose which 'Home' you want associated with your device:

 You will need to grant the app access to your location as shown below:

Next, the app will search for your JBL Link 300. Follow the on screen prompts to finalize adding the device to your Google Home app.
