How to Add an Ikea Tradfri Gateway to Google Home

You'll Need:

• Your Ikea TrÃ¥dfri Gateway to be already installed and set up within the Ikea TrÃ¥dfri app on your mobile device.

• The Google Home app to be already installed on your mobile device.
  
  Go To: How to Install the App for Your Google Home

2. Enable Google Assistant

1. Launch the Ikea Trådfri app on your mobile device.
   

1. Tap Settings in the top right corner.
   

1. Go to Integrations.
   

1. Then select Google Assistant.
   

1. Tap Enable.
   

1. And sign in with your Google account.
   

3. Link Ikea Tradfri Gateway

1. Once you have enabled Google Assistant in the Ikea TrÃ¥dfri app, switch to the Google Home app.
   

1. Tap Add on the main screen.
   

1. On the Add and manage screen, tap Set up device.
   

1. Under Works with Google, tap Have something already set up?
   

1. Scroll through the list of smart home device providers and look for Ikea or Tradfri. Since the list is rather long you can also tap Search and enter the name to locate it quicker.
   

1. Select TRÃ…DFRI - IKEA smart lighting.
   

1. You will be shown the instructions for the steps we've already taken earlier. Tap Proceed to continue.
   

1. Then tap Connect.
   

1. And sign in with your Google account again.
   

1. You can now give voice commands to Google Assistant to control your linked devices.
