Before We Begin:
Have your computer or mobile device powered on and ready to use.
2. Create a Bookmark (Safari)
Apple's Safari web browser refers to the web pages that you save as bookmarks. Safari also allows you to add or designate certain bookmarks as 'favorite' bookmarks which are even more easily accessible than standard bookmarks.To Create a Bookmark
Open Safari.
Browse to the page you want to save as a bookmark.
On the menu bar, select Bookmarks. Then click Add Bookmark.
On the prompt that appears, use the dropdown box beneath Add this page to, to select the location for your new bookmark.
Enter a new name for your bookmark if you wish, then click Add.
To Add a Bookmark to Favorites
With Safari open.
Browse to the page you want to save as a bookmark.
On the menu bar, select Bookmarks. Then click Add bookmark.
On the prompt that appears, use the dropdown box beneath Add this page to, to ensure that your bookmark is set to be added to Favorites.
Enter a new name for your bookmark if you wish, then click Add.
3. Access Favorites (Safari)
All Safari bookmarks (including favorite bookmarks) can be accessed from the bookmarks menu.
To Access Bookmarks
Open Safari.
Select Bookmarks on the menu bar, then locate the folder you've placed your bookmarks in. In this example, the Favorites folder has been highlighted, and the bookmarks within are displayed.
Select any bookmark to load that page.
Favorite bookmarks can be accessed even more quickly and easily than standard bookmarks by using Safari's 'New Tab' page.
To Access Favorite Bookmarks in the New Tab Window
Open Safari.
If Safari is set to use the 'New Tab' page on start up, you will automatically see the New Tab page when Safari opens. If Safari does not open to the New Tab page, click the New Tab button.
The New Tab page will be displayed. Any bookmarks you have designated as Favorites will be displayed here for quick and easy access.
