How to change Master Password on RoboForm

2. Resolution

In order to change your Master Password you must be logged in and you must know your existing Master Password.  

3. Windows

1) Click the [ ^ ] button (show hidden icons) and select the RoboForm taskbar icon.

2) Select "Options" from the menu.

3) Select "Security" from the column on the left.

4) Click the "Change Master Password" button at the top of the window.

5) You will be prompted to enter your current Master Password. Enter it, and click the blue "Next" button.

6) Enter a new and secure Master Password that you will be able to remember and then re-enter it to confirm. Then, click the blue "Next" button.

Ensure that you will remember your new Master Password. If you ever forget your Master Password, you will be unable to log in to your account and will have to reset your password, which will wipe the data from your account. 

7) A RoboForm window will display confirming that the Master Password change was successful. Click the blue "OK" button.

4. Mac

1) Click the RoboForm icon in the top right of your screen on the Menu Bar.

2) Select "Preferences" from the menu.

3) Select "Security" from the column on the left.

4) Click the "Set Master Password" button at the top of the window.

5) You will be prompted to enter your current Master Password. Enter it, and click the blue "Next" button.

6) Enter a new and secure Master Password that you will be able to remember and then re-enter it to confirm. Then, click the blue "Next" button.

Ensure that you will remember your new Master Password. If you ever forget your Master Password, you will be unable to log in to your account and will have to reset your password, which will wipe the data from your account. 

7) A RoboForm window will display confirming that the Master Password change was successful. Click the blue "OK" button.
