Windows computers these days have their own system notifications that alert you to different things that are happening on your machine in real time. While notifications (sometimes incorrectly identified as "pop-ups") are meant to be both helpful and informative, some users find these notifications to be an unnecessary nuisance. This guide will explain how to disable notifications if you no longer wish to have them bug you while using your Windows PC.

Windows notifications are harmless and are a part of your computer. They can be generated by Windows to either let you know of something going on with your computer, or from an app you have installed to do very much of the same. These notifications are sometimes mistaken for harmful "pop-ups," but are not able to hurt your machine. These are normal Windows notifications (pictured below).
It is safe and normal to see Notifications from your computer's Operating System. Reading them will often let you know before an update happens, or if there is something you can do to prevent problems in the future.
