1. Introduction

This guide is suitable for when you want to duplicate your PC's display on your TV. This is distinct from extending your PC's display on your TV.
2. Connect PC And TV with HDMI Cable
Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the PC. If your PC is an older generation that has no HDMI port, you can always get a USB-to-HDMI adapter.
Connect the other end of the cable to your TV, noting the exact input it is plugged in to.
Enable Your TV To Accept Input
Use your TV remote control in heading over to Source or Input option in Settings or Control tab, to be able to nudge the TV set into stand-by mode for signals from the HDMI source you are plugging in.
If you are lucky, the TV might automatically start displaying the contents of your PC’s display. If you aren’t so lucky, head over to the next step.
3. Duplicate Your PCs Display
Click Start or use the shortcut Windows + S to display the windows search bar and type Detect in the search bar.
Click on Detect or Identify Displays.
Select the Display option.
Click Detect and your laptop screen should be projected onto the TV. If not check your HDMI cable and ensure its properly connected.
