Your Westinghouse Smart TV is capable of running apps which at times may not work as intended. This guide will assist with troubleshooting these apps. We will be walking through restarting your devices, and if need be deactivating and reactivating your troubled app.
2. Restart App
Press the Menu or Return buttons on the Remote Control to quit an app then launch it again.
3. Restart
Turn it off by pressing the Power button on the unit itself or on the remote.
Then unplug it from the power outlet.
Wait for 10 seconds.
Plug it back in then turn the TV back on from the Power button.
4. Power Cycle Home Network
Remove the power cable from both your modem and router.
Verify all lights are off on the modem and router.
After 30 seconds, plug in your modem and then your router.
It may take a few minutes for the internet to reconnect.
5. Improve Network Performance
You may have to shut down or disconnect other unused devices that are connected to the same network.
If your device is connected via Wi-Fi, its distance from the router, as well as well as other environmental factors can affect the quality of the signal. Try moving your router to a more central location or use a Wi-Fi extender.
The best type of connection is a wired Ethernet connection. If possible, this is the way to go.
6. Reactivate App
Use the Arrows on the Remote Control to navigate and highlight your choices then press OK to confirm them.
From the main screen, go into TV Settings and then select App Settings.
Select Deactivate App.
Once deactivated, reactivate the app.
7. Factory Reset
Resetting your TV to factory defaults will erase all saved settings and preferences and will require you to perform any basic setup steps including reconnecting the TV to your network, etc.
While the TV is on, press the Menu button on the remote.
Navigate to TV Settings then select General.
Select Restore Default.
Your TV will be reset to its factory default settings.
