You've got your headset on and your RemoteTalk cable on when you receive a call. Or maybe you want to you want to record your voice. Only, when you try to talk nothing happens. Your Beats Studio3 Headset's microphone doesn't seem to be working.
This guide can assist you with troubleshooting the mic on your headset.
Tools You'll Need:

Before You Begin:
You must have access to a computer with iTunes installed.
You must have that thing for the other thing so you can do the thing.

2. Check Microphone for Damage or Obstruction
Look over your Beats Studio3 headset and RemoteTalk cable.
Make sure there's no damage to the headset.
Make sure there is no gunk or debri near any of the ports.
Make sure there's no gunk or debri on your RemoteTalk cable.
Most of all, make sure there is nothing blocking the microphone located on the RemoteTalk cable.
Make sure the straight-end of the plug is connected to the headphones and the angled L-shaped plug is connected to the audio source. Also make sure the connections are firmly plugged in and not damaged or corroded.
Make sure the buttons on the cable are not stuck, damaged, or blocked.
If there is damage to the cable or buttons you'll need to purchase a new RemoteTalk cable.
3. Make Sure You Have the Right Audio Input Source
If you're using a computer to listen through your Beats you'll need to check the settings for that computer.
 
Windows
Click on the speaker icon in the notification area.
Select Open Sound Settings.
Under Input, make sure your Beats Studio3 is listed.
macOS
Click on the speaker icon and click on Sound Preferences.
Click on the Input tab and then select the device you wish to be your default recording device.
