Xbox One allows you to install both applications and games from the store or a disc. Sometimes the install doesn't go as planned, so we’re going to show you how to fix that.
What you need before you start:
Make sure that there's no physical damage to the Xbox One or the game installation disc.
You have a good internet connection.
Microsoft account.
2. Clear Local Saved Games
Performing the following stills will not delete any games or progress you have saved in the Xbox Live cloud. It will only clear data you have saved locally. Any data not saved in the cloud will be lost.
Remove the disc from your console.
Press the Xbox button in the center of the Xbox One controller to open the guide.
Tap on the Settings gear.
Select System.
Select Storage.
Select Clear local saved games.
Select Yes.
Your console will now restart.
3. Install Game From Disc
Insert the disc. Follow the steps to install the game.
4. Take Offline
Press the Xbox button in the center of the Xbox One controller to open the guide.
Select Settings.
Select Network.
Select Go Offline
5. Clear Download Queue
While on the Home screen, pull the right trigger, and then press the A button to open My games and apps.
Select Queue.
Select Cancel All.
6. Restart
Method 1: Reboot with the controller:
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Restart console.
Select Yes to confirm.
If this doesn't work then go to method 2.
Method 2: Reboot from the console:
Hold the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds.
The console will turn off.
Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or on your controller.
If this doesn't work then go to method 3.
Method 3: Hard reboot:
Hold the Xbox buttonon the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds.
The console will turn off.
Unplug the console's power cable.
Wait 10 seconds.
Plug the power cable back in.
Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or on your controller.
7. Install Game From Disc
Insert the disc. Follow the steps to install the game.
8. Take Online
Press the Xbox button in the center of the Xbox One controller to open the guide.
Select Settings.
Select Network.
Select Go online.

10. Verify Server Status
On your computer, smartphone, or tablet, visit https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status.
Under Services, make sure Xbox Live Core Services and Purchase and Content Usage show as Normal.
If you are having problem with a particular game or app, look under the Games and Apps section of the page, to be sure those parts of Xbox Live are not having problems.
11. Try Again Later When Xbox Services Are Online
Try again later when the services are back up.
12. Check Signed In Profile
Press the Xbox button in the center of the Xbox One controller to open the guide.
Highlight the gamerpic in the upper-left corner to open the account list.
Make sure the correct profile is signed in.
13. How to Sign In / Out
Press the Xbox button in the center of the Xbox One controller to open the guide.
Highlight the gamerpic in the upper-left corner to open the account list. If no profile or account loaded, you will have an option to sign in your Microsoft account.
If there's a different profile signed in, Select switch user and select your account.
14. Install Downloaded Game / App
Download / Install the Game or App again.
15. Check Hard Drive Space
Press the Xbox button in the center of the Xbox One controller to open the guide.
