This guide will help you troubleshoot basic issues with the Bose Connect app, used to control your Bose Soundlink Color II speaker.
2. Charge
Connect the USB cable to a wall charger or computer that is turned on.
Connect the USB cable to the charging port on your speaker.
Allow your speaker to charge till the battery light goes green for a full charge.
3. Powercycle
Use the power button on the top of your speaker to turn it off.
Wait 10 seconds.
Push the power button again to turn your speaker on.
Allow it a few moments to start up fully, and attempt to re-pair to your phone or tablet.
4. Restart
Hold down the power button on your Android device. Depending on the manufacturer and model of Android device you have, the location of the power button will vary.
A prompt will appear on-screen. Select Restart.
If the menu does not pop up, continue to hold the power button, and your Android device will shut off.
If you had to shut down your Android device, wait 30 seconds before turning your device back on.
5. Enable Bluetooth
Swipe down on your screen (or up, if using a tablet) to access the menu.
Hold down on the Bluetooth icon to bring up Bluetooth options.
Ensure the Bluetooth switch is set to ON.
6. Test
Open the Bose Connect app.
Make sure your headset or speaker shows up on the screen.
Make sure you can access the settings for the speaker, from the Settings icon in the top-right corner.
7. Uninstall Android App
Touch and hold the Bose Connect icon.
Select Uninstall from the menu that opens.
When asked to uninstall, select OK.
8. Install Android App
Open Play Store.
Type Bose Connect in the search bar and tap Install.
Once installed, tap Open to proceed to the setup.
9. Test
Open the Bose Connect app.
Make sure your headset or speaker shows up on the screen.
Make sure you can access the settings for the speaker, from the Settings icon in the top-right corner.

11. Restart
Hold down the lock/power button.
Slide to power off when prompted.
Wait until the phone is off.
Hold down the lock/power button until you see the Apple logo.
12. Enable Bluetooth
Open Settings on your phone or tablet.
Then tap Bluetooth.
Make sure Bluetooth is set to On.

Open the Bose Connect app.
Make sure your headset or speaker shows up on the screen.
Make sure you can access the settings for the speaker, from the Settings icon in the top-right corner.
14. Uninstall iOS App
Touch and hold the Bose Connect icon.
Select the X in the corner of the Bose Connect icon.
Select Delete.
15. Install iOS App
Open the App Store.
Type in "Bose Connect" in the search bar.
Find Bose Connect in the search results and tap on GET.
Tap on Install to start download.
16. Test
Open the Bose Connect app.
Make sure your headset or speaker shows up on the screen.
Make sure you can access the settings for the speaker, from the Settings icon in the top-right corner.
