LG Smart TVs have a mobile app called LG TV Plus that adds more functionality to your television. If your app isn't connecting, loading, or responding right there may be an issue with the app itself or the device you're using. We're here to guide you through repairing freezes, failed connects, and wrong button pushes.

Before You Begin:
Make sure the model number for your LG television is correct and that your version of the app supports it.
2. Ensure Same Network as LG TV Plus App
The device that is running LG TV Plus App and the TV must be on the same Wi-Fi network in order to work. Go through the following steps to first check which Wi-Fi network your TV is on as well as any devices you are using with it. The issue may be quickly resolved by connecting your devices to the same Wi-Fi network.
Each television model may have different icons for the following instructions.
Bring up the television menu.
Select Network.
Select Wi-FI Connection.
Double check the network name (SSID).
Check Wi-Fi connection on an iOS device:
Tap the Settings icon.
Tap Wi-Fi.
Review the Network Name (SSID) to ensure it is the same.
Check Wi-Fi connection on an Android device:
Swipe down the top bar.
Hold down the Wi-Fi button and release it.
Review the name of your network.
3. Power Cycle Devices
Most of the time, restarting will fix common problems.
Unplug your modem, router, and TV. Do not disconnect any Ethernet cables, just unplug the power cords from the wall.
Plug in your modem and router first, and wait for it to establish a connection.
Plug in the TV and turn it on.

5. Android or iOS
For the next steps, we need to determine what type of mobile device you have.
6. Close Running Apps
Double press the Home button rapidly.
You will now see a list of apps that are currently open. Swipe up on any of the apps to close them.
7. Restart
Hold down the lock/power button.
Slide to power off when prompted.
Wait until the phone is off.
Hold down the lock/power button until you see the Apple logo.
8. Check App Updates
If an app has an update available, the App Store will show a number in a red circle next to it.
Choose the App Store on your home screen.
Choose Updates at the bottom, then choose Update All on the top-right.
9. Uninstall App (iOS)
On the main screen of your iOS device, look for the LG TV PLUS app.
Tap and hold the icon until an X shows up on its top left corner. Tap the X.
You will be asked whether you want to delete the app. Tap Delete to confirm.
10. Install App (iOS)
Open App Store.
Type in "LG TV Plus" in the search bar.
Select LG TV Plus in the search results.
Choose GET and install the app.
Open the app to proceed with the setup.

12. Close Running Apps
Tap on the App Drawer button.
The App Drawer may be located on either the bottom left or bottom right as either an onscreen button or a physical button. If you're unsure which button it is, please refer to the user manual of your android device.
Either tap the X or swipe to close an app.
13. Restart
Hold down the power button on your Android device. Depending on the manufacturer and model of Android device you have, the location of the power button will vary.
A prompt will appear on-screen. Select Restart.
If the menu does not pop up, continue to hold the power button, and your Android device will shut off.
If you had to shut down your Android device, wait 30 seconds before turning your device back on.
14. Check App Updates
Open the Play Store.
At the top, choose the three bars on the left of the search line.
Choose My apps & games at the top.
Choose Update All.
15. Uninstall App (Android)
Open Apps on your Android device.
Look for the LG TV PLUS app.
Tap and hold the app's icon until you see the Uninstall option show up at the top side of the screen.
Drag the icon over the Uninstall option until the icon turns red and release it.
You will be asked whether you want to uninstall the app. Tap OK to confirm.
