How to Fix Issues with the Music Flow Bluetooth App

1. Introduction
This will guide you through resolving basic problems with the Music Flow Bluetooth app for your LG SJ4Y.
2. Range Check
The device needs to be within a reasonable range in order to connect.
In general, to pair and use a Bluetooth device (like a speaker, headset or smartwatch), the device needs to be within 10 feet of your computer or other device.
Some medium and higher-power devices can be farther, up to about 30 feet, but this tends to be for larger devices that plug in or have very large batteries, such as another computer, media streaming device, or a plug-in speaker system.
Try moving the Bluetooth device closer if you have trouble.
3. Enable Bluetooth
Make sure your soundbar is turned on, and Bluetooth is selected.
If nothing is lit up on the control panel on the soundbar, push the Power button on the remote, first.
Press the F Function button on your remote till BT (Bluetooth) is selected on the speaker.
4. Test
Open the Music Flow Bluetooth app on your smartphone.
If the app cannot detect your speaker connected to your device, you'll be prompted to connect it.

6. Restart
Hold down the power button on your Android device. Depending on the manufacturer and model of Android device you have, the location of the power button will vary.
A prompt will appear on-screen. Select Restart.
If the menu does not pop up, continue to hold the power button, and your Android device will shut off.
If you had to shut down your Android device, wait 30 seconds before turning your device back on.
7. Test
Open the Music Flow Bluetooth app on your smartphone.
If the app cannot detect your speaker connected to your device, you'll be prompted to connect it.
8. Android Uninstall App
Touch and hold the Music Flow Bluetooth icon.
Select Uninstall.
Select OK.
9. Install Android App
Launch the Play Store on your smartphone.
Select the search bar at the top.
Type in "Music Flow Bluetooth", then select Music Flow Bluetooth from the list.
Select Install.
Once installed, select Open now to open it.
This application requires extra permissions to run. When asked to allow media access, select Allow.
When asked to allow location access, select Allow.
The Terms of Use are displayed. Once you have read through and understand these terms, select Accept at the bottom.

Some Bluetooth accessories are configured with a PIN or a passkey that is often listed in its manual. Check your Bluetooth accessory manual for the correct PIN or passkey.
Depending on what device (Smartphone or Tablet) and which generation you have, the menu theme and options might look slightly different on your screen. However, the steps should be similar to all Android devices and generations.
Using the Dropdown Menu
Swipe down from the top of the device screen if it's a phone or up from the bottom of the device screen if it's a tablet to access the menu.
Locate the Bluetooth icon.
Press and hold the Bluetooth icon.
Swipe the switch to your right to set the Bluetooth accessory in pairing/discovery mode.
A list of nearby devices and previously paired devices will be shown.
In the list of Available Devices, choose the Bluetooth accessory you wish to pair with.
If you are prompted for a passkey, put it in. If there is no passkey, then your Bluetooth accessory should be paired now.
Using Settings within the Android Menu
Locate and tap the Apps Menu.
Locate and tap the Settings icon.
Select the Bluetooth. You may need to select Connections first.
Swipe the switch to your right to set the Bluetooth accessory in pairing/discovery mode.

21. Delete Paired Bluetooth Device
Navigate to Settings.
Tap Bluetooth. Note: Bluetooth must be switched on for a list of devices to display.
Tap the "i" icon to the right of the device name.
Tap Forget this Device.
Tap Forget this Device in the dialogue box. Your device is no longer recognized by your phone or tablet.
22. Pair Bluetooth
Press the F Function button on your remote till BT (Bluetooth) is selected on the speaker.
The BT light on your soundbar will blink.
23. Connect Bluetooth
Some Bluetooth accessories are configured with a PIN or a passkey that is often listed in its information manual. Check your Bluetooth accessory documentation for the correct PIN or passkey.
From Any iOS Device (iPod, iPad, iPhone)
Open Settings
Then Bluetooth.
Set the Bluetooth accessory in pairing/discovery mode.
Wait for your iOS device to display the detected Bluetooth accessory.
Select the Bluetooth accessory to pair it with the iOS device.
If a PIN or passkey is required, you will be prompted to enter it.
If there is no passkey, your Bluetooth accessory should connect without issue.

Open the Music Flow Bluetooth app on your smartphone.
If the app cannot detect your speaker connected to your device, you'll be prompted to connect it.
