Sometimes the screen on your Smart TV can end up getting quite dark at times, such as when you switch inputs. Your Sony TV actually has an ambient light sensor which helps the screen of your television automatically adjust its brightness levels based upon the lighting of the room.

Unfortunately, in certain rooms, this sensor can struggle with determining light conditions and may erratically or incorrectly make adjustments. This guide will walk you through disabling the light sensor on your Sony Smart TV to avoid these types of issues.

2. Disable Light Sensor

To disable your TV's light sensor:
