This guide will help you correct the following issues:
Your Windows Store or App will not open.
Your Windows Store or App opens and then quickly closes.
2. Update the Microsoft Store
Select Start.
Search Store, and select Microsoft Store.
Select See More in the upper-right corner of the Store window.
Select Downloads and Updates.
Select Get Update.
If an update for Microsoft Store is available, it will start installing automatically.
3. Repair an App
Select Start.
Select Settings.
Select Apps.
Select Apps and Features.
Select the App you want to Repair.
Select Advanced Options.
Select Repair.
Once the repair is complete, try to run the application.
4. Reset an App
Some Apps will not have this option. Skip this step if your App does not have this option.
Select Start.
Select Settings.
Select Apps.
Select Apps and Features.
Select the App you want to Reset.
Select Advanced Options.
Select Reset.
5. Reinstall App
The next steps will walk you through reinstalling your app.
6. Uninstall Store App
You may need to remove an app because you need the space or simply don't need it anymore. The following steps show you how to easily remove an app.
Click Start then Settings.
Next, Select Apps.
Scroll down and locate the app you wish to remove, and click on Uninstall.
Carefully read any prompts in case there are special instructions. Proceed until the application is removed.
Some applications may require that you reboot.
7. Install Store App
Select Start.
Select the Microsoft Store.
Search for the app you want to install.
Select the app you want.
Click Install.
8. Test Another App
Try installing another app from the Microsoft Store.

10. Reset the Microsoft Store
Select Start.
Search for "wsreset", then select it.
A black box will appear and quietly run a script to repair the Windows Store. Wait for it to finish.
When the repair is complete, the Windows Store will automatically launch.
11. Reinstall Store with Powershell
Choose the Start menu, and type PowerShell into the search.
Right-click on PowerShell, then select Run as Administrator.
Windows may ask if PowerShell may make changes. If it does, click Yes.
Enter the following command and push enter: Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
Errors can typically be ignored.
You may need to reboot your system.
12. Reset Windows
Performing a Windows 10 Reset keeps your personal files, settings, and apps that came installed on your machine intact. For portable devices: Before proceeding with a Reset, make sure the device is connected to a power outlet to avoid power loss during the reset process.You will lose any and all customized settings made, as well as any extra programs you've installed since you first got your computer.
Select the Start menu.
Select the Settings button on the left side of the start menu.
Select Update and Security.
Select Recovery.
On the left, under Reset this PC, select Get started.
Select Keep my files.
Take note of any apps that will need to be reinstalled, then select Next.
At this point, the system is ready to be reset. This process may take quite a while, and the system will automatically restart when needed. Select Reset when you're ready to continue.
Windows 10 will start the reset process and may reboot several times while running. Follow any on-screen instructions that may require your attention.
Once the process is complete, you may use your system again.
13. Factory Reset
Resetting your Windows 10 system will return it back to its original state. It will delete any data or programs you have saved so make sure your backups are up to date.
Click the Start button, then select Settings.
Click Update & Security.
Choose Recovery on the left.
On the top right, click Get started under Reset this PC.
In the new window that opens, choose if you want to keep your files, or remove everything.
Keep my files should not delete any personal files you have stored on your computer, but will remove all applications you've installed, as well as all settings you've changed.
You will be given a short list of programs Windows can find that will be removed, reminding you that you'll need to re-install them after the reset if you want to use those programs. Click Next when you are ready to begin.
Remove everything will delete your personal files, applications you've installed, and all settings will be set to their default values.
You'll be presented with options to just remove files, or clean the drive.
If you're keeping the computer and are not worried about someone attempting to retrieve data from the drive, select Just remove my files.
If you are selling or giving away the computer, choosing Remove files and clean the drive will make it much harder to retrieve anything. This process will take a very long time to complete.
Once you make your choice, you will be given a final list of what will be done. Click Reset when you are ready.
There is no going back, and no chance to retrieve anything removed during the reset process. Please make absolutely sure your backups are up to date before pressing Reset.
Once you click Reset, the process will start.
Your computer will reboot, and give you the progress of the reset at the bottom.
Windows will guide you through setting it up with your username, password and other basic settings, just like when you first purchased your computer.
