How to Install the App for YUNEEC Typhoon 4K Drone

1. Introduction
In This Guide
You'll Learn How To:
Install your Yuneec Typhoon 4K's associated applications.
Install the CGO3 application for your Android device.
Install the CGO application for your iOS device.
Connect your mobile device to your drone.
Install the GUI for your computer.
Connect your drone to your computer.
Before We Begin:
Have a working computer or mobile device.
2. OS Choice
To continue, we need to know what Operating System your smartphone or tablet has.
There are 2 main Operating Systems for smartphones currently available, Android and iOS.
Android SmartphoneiOS SmartphoneAndroid smartphones are produced by multiple companies, such as Samsung, LG, Motorola, HTC, and OnePlus.Apple is the only company that makes iOS smartphones.
3. Install App (Android)
Open the Play Store, then select the Search Bar at the top.
Type in "CGO3", then select CGO3 from the list.
Select Install.
Select Open to open the app.
4. Connect to Wi-Fi (Android)
Depending on your exact device (Smartphone or Tablet), and which generation you have, the menu theme and options might look slightly different on your screen. However, the steps should be similar across all Android devices and generations.
Open Settings.
Select Wi-Fi.
Select the CGO2 network from the list.
The password is 1234567890.
5. Install App (iOS)
Open the App Store and select Search in the bottom right corner.
Type in "CGO", and select Get.
Select Get or Cloud Install for AppName.
Select Install.
Select Open.
6. Connect to Wi-Fi (iOS)
Depending on your exact device (Smartphone or Tablet), and which generation you have, the menu theme and options might look slightly different on your screen. However, the steps should be similar across all Apple iOS devices and generations.
Open Settings.
Select Wi-Fi.
Select the CGO2 network from the list.
The password is 1234567890.
7. OS Choice
To continue, we need to know what Operating System your computer is using.
There are 2 main Operating Systems for personal computers currently available, Microsoft Windows and Apple macOS.

8. Install App (Windows)
Open your browser, type in https://us.yuneec.com/downloads-typhoon-q500 and press Enter or Return.
Select the Windows download icon.
Click the downloaded file to begin the install.
Click Yes on the User Account Control page.
Select Next.
Select Accept and then Next.
Select Next.
Select Next.
Decide whether you want to create a desktop shortcut and select Next.
Select Install.
The program will install.
Select Finish.
9. Connect to Computer
Your Yuneec Typhoon 4K comes with an internal connector that allows you to connect to USB.
Make sure your drone is not on. Power it off if needed.
Remove the battery.
Locate the receiver inside the body of the drone and gently pull it out.
Disconnect the receiver.
Connect the receiver to the communication adapter.
Hold the wires to one side and insert the battery.
Power on your drone.
Connect the USB to your computer.
10. Install App (macOS)
Open your browser, type in https://us.yuneec.com/downloads-typhoon-q500 and press Enter or Return.
Select the Mac download icon.
Click on the Downloads button, then click on Q500_GUI_MAC.
You will most likely get a window saying it won't open because it's from an unidentified developer. That is fine, click on OK.
Click on the Apple in the upper left, then click on System Preferences.
Click on Security & Privacy.
Click on Open Anyway.
Click on Open.
Click on Continue.
Click on Continue. Then click on Agree.
Click on Continue.
Click on Install.
You might get an account confirmation. Enter in the account password, and click on Install Software.
