How to Install the Sonos Controller App

1. Introduction

The Sonos Controller app lets you set up, manage and control all the Sonos products from a single central location. This guide will walk you through installing the Sonos Controller app on your phone, tablet, or computer.

Tools You'll Need:

• A paperclip
• iPhone charging cable
• Access to a computer with iTunes installed
• Any other non-consumable tools needed
• Comment out tools section if no tools are necessary

• Comment out supplies section if no supplies are necessary

Before You Begin:

• You must have access to a computer with iTunes installed.
• You must have that thing for the other thing so you can do the thing.

You must have this thing before you whatever.

2. Install the Sonos Controller App

The Sonos Controller App is available for Android and iOS devices, as well as Windows and Mac computers. Choose the type of device you have and expand the instructions below:

An Android Phone or Tablet

1. Open the Play Store.
   

1. Search for "Sonos" and tap on the app.
   

1. Tap Install to start downloading the app.
   

1. Once installed, tap Open.
   

An iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

1. Open the App Store.
   

1. Tap Search in the bottom right corner.
   

1. Type in "Sonos" in the search bar and look for Sonos Controller.
2. Tap Get and Install, then Open to use it.
   

A Windows PC

1. Open your preferred browser, type https://www.sonos.com/en-ca/support in the address bar, and press Enter.
   

1. Scroll down and click Download Windows Controller.
   

1. Once downloaded, click on it to open the file.
   

1. Select your language and click OK.
   

1. Click Next.
   

1. You can choose where to install the program. Click Next to go with the default folder.
   

1. Click Install.
   

1. The program will install.
   

1. Click Finish to close the installer and open Sonos.
   

A Mac Computer

1. Open your preferred browser, type in https://www.sonos.com/en-ca/support, and press Return.
   

1. Scroll down and click Download the Mac Controller.
   

1. You may need to Allow the download.
   

1. Open the Sonos installer.
   

1. The installer will ask you to drag the Sonos icon into Applications.
   

1. Give the installer permission to Open.
   

1. Sonos will start installing.
