How to Message On a Fitbit Versa Fitness Tracker

1. Introduction

Your Fitbit Versa has the ability to receive and send messages from your Android devices. You'll have to enable notifications and will only be able to send quick, customized replies called Quick Replies.

If you pair your Fitbit to an iPhone or iPad you can only reply to Fitbit app notifications, such as messages, cheers, taunts, and friend requests.

Tools You'll Need:

• A mobile smart device connected to your Fitbit by Bluetooth

Before You Begin:

• Your mobile device must be connected to your Fitbit via Bluetooth.

2. Enable Notifications for Messages on Fitbit Versa

1. Open the Fitbit app.
   

1. Select Today at the bottom.
   

1. Go to your Account icon in the top left.
   

1. Select Versa from the account pane.
   

1. Tap Notifications.
   

1. Select Text Messages.
   

1. Make sure Text Messaging is set to On and select the app you want to use for text messages. You can only choose one app.
   

3. Messaging on Fitbit Versa

Quick replies are small pre-selected messages that you use to reply on your Fitbit.

Quick replies are automatically turned on for any supported apps that send notifications from your phone to your Fitbit device.

Versa stores up to 30 notifications, after which the oldest are replaced as you receive new ones.

1. Tap the Notification you want to answer.
   

1. Tap Reply.
   

1. Select the Speech Bubble to quick reply with text.
   

1. Select the Smiley Face to reply with an emoji.
