Playing music on your Xbox One can enhance your gaming experience. Here’s how to do it:
Install a Music App:
Go to the Microsoft Store on your Xbox One.
Search for and install a music app such as Spotify, Pandora, or Groove Music.
Open the Music App:
Launch the installed music app from the “My Games & Apps” section.
Sign In:
Sign in with your account credentials for the music service.
Browse and Select Music:

2. Play Audio CD
Play an audio CD
Press the eject button and ensure the disc drive is empty.
Insert an audio CD into the drive.
The Groove Music app should automatically open. If your Xbox does not have the Groove Music app installed, you will be brought to its store page to be installed.
Select Launch to open the Groove Music app.
Once opened, select My Music in the upper-left corner of the Groove Music app.
From within the My Music menu, select Audio CD.
The contents of the audio CD you inserted earlier will be displayed. Select Play all to begin playing the contents of the disc.

4. Install Audio Streaming App
You can use audio streaming apps such as Groove or Pandora to play music even while playing a game.
To install apps on the Xbox One console
From the Home screen, select Store.
Next, select Apps.
From here you should see Featured, Popular, and Newly-released Apps.
Selecting the ellipsis [...] below a group will display more apps from that category.
Once you select and download an app, it should be available after it installs.
5. Connect Headset to Controller
Headsets can only be connected to the Xbox One wireless controller. They cannot be connected to third-party wired controllers.
Xbox One console does not support Bluetooth functionality. Headsets cannot connect to the console using Bluetooth.
If you have an Xbox One wireless controller with a 3.5-mm port, you can connect directly a headset with a standard 3.5-mm jack to the controller.
If you have a chatpad connected to your controller, you may connect your 3.5-mm jack headset to the chatpad instead.
6. Adjust Audio Level
You can adjust the audio level between visible apps on Xbox One's sound mixer. If you are on a chat, the chat mixer does the same with your chat volume and active game.
Press the Xbox button.
Select Settings.
Select All Settings.
Select Display & Sound.
Go to Volume.
From here, you can change settings for:
Sound mixer - Adjust the volume balance between the main and snapped app.
Chat mixer - Control the balance between the chat and other sounds.
Setup TV & A/V control - Settings related to your HDMI-in signal, such as cable box or antenna.
Change volume with voice by - Sets how much the volume changes on your TV when you use the "volume up" or "volume down" voice commands.
