Deleting text messages from your iPhone can help clear up space in storage, but you also run the risk of deleting important information you need at a later date.
If you suddenly remember you needed a message, we can help with the following methods of recovering deleted messages.
2. Check iCloud Backup Date
If your latest iCloud backup occurred before you deleted your message, you can restore it using iCloud back up.
Here's How To Check Your iCloud Back Up Date:
Select Settings.
Select your Apple ID.
Select iCloud.
Select iCloud Backup.
Review the date iCloud last backed up.
3. Factory Reset
Select Settings.
Select General.
Select Reset.
Select Erase All Content and Settings, and enter your iPhone's passcode (if prompted).
You will receive a confirmation prompt offering to Backup Then Erase or Erase Now. If you would like to back up your device's information before erasing, select Backup Then Erase. Otherwise, select Erase Now.
Your iPhone will now wipe all data and reset back to factory defaults. When completed, you will be presented with the Welcome screen you saw when you took your iPhone out of the box for the first time.
4. Restore from iCloud Backup
Once your iPhone is factory reset you'll be brought to the Apps and Data screen.
Select Restore from iCloud Back Up.
Your latest back up will then be loaded onto the phone.
