While your smartphone is pretty robust and hard to damage, sometimes damage does happen and we need to get it repaired.
Some potential damage can be resolved easily but others require expert repair.

Use the slider to increase or decrease the brightness of your display.

Hold down the power button on your Android device. Depending on the manufacturer and model of Android device you have, the location of the power button will vary.
A prompt will appear on-screen. Select Restart.
If the menu does not pop up, continue to hold the power button, and your Android device will shut off.
If you had to shut down your Android device, wait 30 seconds before turning your device back on.

Sometimes, your icons can appear extremely large. This is the magnification feature of Android.
Zoom Out
To zoom out, tap 3 times, fast, anywhere on the screen.
If that does not work, use the volume up and down buttons to see if those are set as zoom.
If you wish to disable the Magnification feature, continue below. Otherwise, it is safe to leave on and use.
