2. Verify Basic Setup has Been Completed

In order to proceed with this guide successfully, your ecobee Smart Thermostat must be fully installed and functioning properly.

3. Configure Access Control

With Access Control you can prevent others from changing the thermostat's settings with a 4-digit security code.

To Configure Access Control

1. Press Menu on the main screen.

1. Then go to Access Control.
   

1. Select Enable Security Code.
   

1. Enter a 4-digit security code then select Save.
   

1. Check any of the options you'd like to require a security code to access them.
