The Spark is DJI's smallest flying camera with multiple ways to enjoy and record to your heart's content. We will be setting up your new drone so you can start playing with it right away. To start we will:
Fully charge your drone's battery.
Make sure the DJI Go 4 app is installed.
Connect the controlling device to the drone(either the Remote Control or a mobile device).
Setup and activate your drone.
As with all Drone flying, please keep the following in mind:
Make sure you are properly registered with the Federal Aviation Administration, or qualify to fly without registration.
Make sure you have permission to fly from the person or group that owns the land you'll be over.
Make sure you are in-touch with the control tower before flying near an airport.
Make sure there's no obstructions, such as power lines or trees, above your flight area that could cause problems.
Make sure there's no one below your flight area that could be hurt.
Make sure you are not near government infrastructure or other sensitive properties.
Make sure the weather is safe to fly in.
Make sure you keep your drone in your sight at all times, and get help from an observer if necessary.

2. Charging
Your Spark drone has an intelligent battery, that will not start up if it is not fully charged. Please charge your battery to full first.
Plug in the USB cable into the provided AC adapter and plug that into a power outlet.
Plug the other end into the Spark.
The battery will be done charging when the lights are all on or all off.
3. OS Choice
To continue, we need to know what Operating System your smartphone or tablet has.
There are 2 main Operating Systems for smartphones currently available, Android and iOS.

6. Connect to Wi-Fi with Remote (Android)
Let's first connect your RC to your drone. Turn on your drone.
Turn on your Remote Control (RC) by pressing the Power button. The indicator light should be red.
Push the Power button for 3 seconds. The lights on the drone should be blinking red.
On the controller press and hold the Flight Pause Button and the Function Button and the customize button simultaneously.
The indicator light should turn green.
Open Settings on your phone or tablet.
Make sure Wi-Fi is set to ON.
Select Wi-Fi.
Select the Spark RC network from the list.
Enter the Wi-Fi password "12341234", then select Connect.

8. Activation with Existing Account (Android)
Open the DJ Go 4 app on your mobile device.
Tap I Agree.
Tap the Checkbox, then tap I Agree.
Select which Location information you want to allow the app to have access too. Leaving some items disabled might affect features. Tap Next when done.
The App will ask you if you want to join a product improvement program, it is optional. Choose either Join or Do not consider.
Tap Sign In.
It will prompt you to activate your Spark. Tap Next.
Tap on the checkbox, and tap I Agree.
Name the drone. Then tap Continue.
Choose a measurement system. Then tap Continue.
Choose if you want/need Beginner Mode. Then tap Continue.
