In order to connect to a wired Ethernet connection, your printer needs to have an Ethernet port on the rear. This will vary depending on the model printer you have.
Acquire an Ethernet cable and connect it to the port on the back of the printer.
Take the other end of the Ethernet cable and plug it into your router's Ethernet port.
This is all that is needed to get your printer physically connected to your network.
Enter your product model, operating system, version of your operating system, and your language and click Submit to continue.
Scroll down and click on the recommended driver.
On the page that loads, click the download button to start your download.
Your download should begin. Depending on what browser you've used, you may have to click Run or Save to continue, or simply click the file that's downloaded to launch the installer.
5. Install Software (Ethernet)
Before starting the USB to WiFi setup process, be sure to unplug the USB cable from the computer and printer. You will be asked to connect it later during the setup process.
Click Start to begin setup.
Click Install to continue.
To accept the License Agreement click Agree.
Click Continue and allow security notifications.
If you wish to change the install location or to not make this the default printer, you may do so here. Click Continue.
Click Ethernet Connection and click Continue.
Connect the Ethernet Cable. Click Continue.
The software will now detect your printer and ask you to select it from a list. Select your printer, then click Continue.
Printer depending, you will be asked to complete setup for advanced functions of your printer. Follow the instructions on screen to complete setup.
Your printer is now set up and ready to use via the Ethernet connection. You may disconnect the USB cable.

7. Install Software (USB)
Before starting the USB to WiFi setup process, be sure to unplug the USB cable from the computer and printer. You will be asked to connect it later during the setup process.
Click Start to begin setup.
Click Install to continue.
To accept the License Agreement click Agree.
Click Continue and allow any security warnings.
If you wish to change the install location or to not make this the default printer, you may do so here. Click Continue.
Select Local Connection and click Continue.
Connect the USB cable to the printer. The Continue button will be grayed out until it reads the printer through the USB cable.
That's it! Your printer is now connected and installed! Click Finish.
