This guide will take you through first-time installation and setup of your new Logitech Harmony Elite universal remote control.
2. Unboxing
Unbox your Harmony Elite remote and ensure that you have access to all the components inside the box before proceeding with the installation:
Harmony Elite remote
Harmony Hub
Charging cradle
Power adapter x2
IR mini blaster x2
USB cable
3. Position Harmony Hub
The Harmony Hub is a device that communicates directly with your Harmony remote control. It emits different kinds of signals from it that allows your Harmony device to intelligently and specifically control your home theater components. There are two different ways to position your Harmony Hub to allow it to control your components.
For open home theater cabinets:
Position Harmony Hub on top of your cabinet, or on a large, open shelf that's unobstructed.
IR signals sent from the hub will reflect off of walls and other surfaces before reaching your devices. Direct line of sight is generally not required.
For closed home theater cabinets:
Position Harmony Hub inside the cabinet, on or beside the majority of your devices.
IR signals sent from the hub will reflect off of walls, cabinet interiors and other surfaces before reaching your devices. Direct line of sight is generally not required.
Plug the IR mini blaster into the back of the hub and position it on top of your cabinet so it may send IR signals to your television.
Once the Harmony Hub has been positioned within your home theater setup, plug the supplied power adapter into Harmony Hub. The hub takes 30 seconds to power on.
