Install the Kasa Smart app onto your mobile device.
Connect the TP-Link Kasa Smart Light Switch to your home network.
You'll Need:
Your smart light switch to already be physically installed.
A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network to connect the smart light switch to.
A smartphone or tablet to install the app on.

3. Prep Smart Switch
Once the light switch has been installed in the wall, the Wi-Fi light will begin to toggle between orange and green.
Your mobile device will need to be connected to the smart switch's setup network in order to proceed.The Wi-Fi setup network will have TP-LINK_Smart_Switch in its name.
4. Connect Android to Wi-Fi
Open Apps on your mobile device.
Select Settings.
Then go to Wi-Fi.
Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled.
Look for the Wi-Fi network name that contains TP-LINK_Smart in the list below and tap it to connect.
5. Smart Switch Setup
Launch the Kasa Smart app.
Tap Add in the top right corner.
Scroll through the list of devices and select Smart Switch.
You'll be asked if you've already wired up your smart switch. As this should already be done, select Yes, I have.
We've already connected your mobile device to the smart switch's Wi-Fi setup network and we're ready to proceed. Select Next.
Name your smart switch, then tap Next.
Choose an icon that best represents what other device the smart switch will be powering up and tap Next.
Confirm your home Wi-Fi name is correct and enter the Wi-Fi password, then tap Next to connect.
Tap Done to complete the setup.
At this point you can control your smart switch, using your mobile device, from home only. If you want to control it even when you're away from home, tap the name of your newly installed smart switch.
Then go to Settings in the top right corner.
And enable Remote Control.
6. Connect iOS to Wi-Fi
Open Settings on your mobile device.
Then go to Wi-Fi.
Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled.
Look for the Wi-Fi network name that contains TP-LINK_Smart in the list below and tap it to connect.
