Download the Kasa Smart App:
Download and install the Kasa Smart app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Create or Log In to Your Account:
Open the app and sign in with your TP-Link account or create a new one.
Plug in Your Smart Plug:
Plug the TP-Link smart plug into an outlet and ensure the LED is blinking.
Add a New Device in the App:
Tap the ‘+’ icon in the Kasa app and select ‘Smart Plug’ from the list of devices.
Connect to WiFi:
Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the smart plug to your WiFi network.
Name and Set Up the Plug:
Once connected, name the plug and set schedules or automation as desired.

Install the Kasa Smart app onto your mobile device.
Connect the TP-Link Kasa Smart Plug to your home network.
You'll Need:
A smartphone or tablet to install the app on.
A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network to connect the smart plug to.
2. Prep Smart Plug
Connect the smart plug into a wall outlet.
Wait about 15 seconds for the Wi-Fi light to cycle through orange and green.
Your mobile device will need to be connected to the smart plug's setup network in order to proceed. The Wi-Fi setup network will have TP-LINK_Smart_Plug in its name.
3. Connect Android to Wi-Fi
Open Apps on your mobile device.
Select Settings.
Then go to Wi-Fi.
Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled.
Look for the Wi-Fi network name that contains TP-LINK_Smart in the list below and tap it to connect.
4. Smart Plug Setup
Launch the Kasa Smart app.
Tap Add in the top right corner.
Scroll through the list of devices and select Smart Plug.
We've already powered up the smart plug earlier. Just tap Next.
And we've already connected to the smart plug's Wi-Fi and we're ready to proceed, so tap Next.
Name your smart plug then tap Next.
Choose an icon that best represents what other device the smart plug will be powering up and tap Next.
Confirm your home Wi-Fi name is correct and enter the Wi-Fi password, then tap Next to connect.
Tap Done to complete the setup.
At this point you can control your smart plug, using your mobile device, from home only. If you want to control it even when you're away from home, tap the name of your newly installed smart plug.
Then go to Settings in the top right corner.
And enable Remote Control.
5. Connect iOS to Wi-Fi
Open Settings on your mobile device.
Then go to Wi-Fi.
Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled.
Look for the Wi-Fi network name that contains TP-LINK_Smart in the list below and tap it to connect.
