How to Set Up a Vivitar Smart Outlet

2. Power Up the Outlet

1. Plug your Vivitar outlet into the wall.
   

1. LED will flash red while searching for a network, show solid red while connected to the network but power output off, show blue while connected to the network with the power output on.
   

3. Add the Outlet to the App

1. Open the Vivitar Smart Home Security app.
   

1. Along the bottom, select Devices.
   

1. Select Add New Device.
   

1. From here, you may add your device by either scanning a barcode or by selecting it from a list. Choose one of the methods below.
2. Add Outlet Via Barcode Scan
3. Tap Scan Barcode.
   

1. If prompted, select Allow.
   

1. Take a screenshot of your device's barcode which is located on the box.
   

1. If you have difficulties scanning the barcode, proceed to the next method located below.
2. Once your device is detected, you'll be prompted to Sign in or Create account.
   

1. Your device is now added. You may now configure it within the app.
3. Add Outlet Via List
4. Tap Outlets.
   

1. You'll be presented with a list of devices. Select your specific device from the list.
