3. Set up payments

To start using payments with Google Assistant on Google Nest or Home speaker or display, you must set up your payment preferences.

These payment settings affect the Google Assistant on your speaker or display, and Pixel. Settings for other Google products, like Google Play, Google Shopping, or YouTube, aren't affected. 

 

4. Android

  1. Open the Google Home app

  2. At the top right, tap your account.
  3. Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your speaker or display. To switch accounts, tap another account or Add another account.
  4. Tap Assistant settings 
  1.  Payments 
  1.  Next.
  2. Enter your payment method details 
  1.  follow the in-app steps.

  1. Open the Google Home app 
  1. .
  2. At the top right, tap your account.
  3. Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your speaker or display. To switch accounts, tap the triangle next to the Google Account, then tap another account or Add another account.
  4. Tap Assistant settings

  2. Enter your payment method details

You can adjust your payments settings or turn off payments from the Google Home app.

Change default payment method

  2. Choose a different payment method or tap Add credit or debit card to add a payment method. The card you choose will be your default payment method.

Change default delivery address

  2. Choose a different delivery address or tap Add new address to add an address. The address you choose will be your default delivery address.

Pay hands-free

When this feature is turned on, your purchases are automatically approved as long as your mobile device is unlocked.

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app

  2. At the top right, tap your account.
  3. Tap Assistant settings 
  1.  Payments.
  2. Under “Pay hands-free,” turn on Pay when unlocked or Pay through Android Auto.

Approve purchases with Voice Match

Turn on Pay with Voice Match to approve purchases on your speaker or display.

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app

  2. At the top right, tap your account.
  3. Tap Assistant settings 
  1.  Payments.
  2. Turn on Pay with Voice Match.

Approve purchases with your fingerprint or face

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app

  3. Tap Assistant settings

  2. Turn on Confirm with fingerprint or face.
