To download the extension on a Linux or Chromebook machine, visit our download page. You're taken through our web onboarding, during which Dashlane is installed on your browser. The Dashlane extension for Linux and Chromebook is currently compatible with only Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.
Watch our short video about how to install the Dashlane extension on any browser except Safari. Visit the Safari section in this article to learn how to install the Dashlane app for Safari.

With Chrome 83 and later, you manage extensions through the Extensions icon—shown as a puzzle piece in the Chrome toolbar. You can still pin extensions to the Chrome toolbar, but all newly installed extensions first appear in the Extensions section.
Use these steps to pin Dashlane to your Chrome toolbar after you've installed the extension:
Select the Extensions icon in your toolbar.
Select the Pin icon next to the Dashlane extension. When you pin the extension, the Pin icon turns from no color to blue, and the extension's icon shows up in the row next to the search bar.
The Dashlane icon remains in your Chrome toolbar for quick access.
Select Get. Confirm that you want to add the extension to your browser.
Select Add extension.
Because Microsoft Edge is a Chromium browser, Edge is also compatible with the Dashlane extension available in the chrome web store. However, you need to allow extensions from other stores in the browser first.

If you don't like the password you created, you can always change it later.
