Sharing your Wi-Fi network via QR code on Android can be useful when you want to easily share your Wi-Fi credentials with friends or guests.
Step 1: Ensure your Wi-Fi is turned on and connected to your network.
Step 2: Install a QR code generator app from the Google Play Store if you don't have one already. There are several apps available for this purpose, such as "QR Code Generator" or "QR Code Generator - Barcode Scanner."
Step 3: Open the QR code generator app on your Android device.
Step 4: Select the "Wi-Fi" option from the list of available QR code types.
Step 5: Enter your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) in the appropriate field. Make sure to type it correctly as it is case-sensitive.
Step 6: Choose the Wi-Fi security type you're using (WPA, WEP, or Open). If your network is secured, you'll need to enter the Wi-Fi password in the designated field.
Step 7: Double-check all the information you've entered to ensure accuracy.
Step 8: Tap on the "Generate" or "Create QR Code" button within the app. The app will then generate a QR code containing your Wi-Fi network credentials.
Step 9: Once the QR code is created, you can save it to your device or share it directly with others.
To Share the QR Code, you can choose from several options, such as sending it via messaging apps, email, or displaying it on your screen for others to scan.
Your friends or guests can then scan the QR code with their Android device's camera or a QR code scanner app. Upon scanning, their device will automatically connect to your Wi-Fi network using the provided credentials from the QR code.
Please note that the process might vary slightly depending on the QR code generator app you use, but the general steps remain consistent. Additionally, make sure to keep your Wi-Fi password secure and only share it with trusted individuals.
