Sometimes it can become necessary to remove the Facebook app, either due to incompatibilities, crashes, or because it uses too much data.
This guide will walk you through uninstalling the Facebook app from your Android device, and offer an option to continue using Facebook from your built-in web browser on your device, which has a lot fewer issues.
There are 2 ways to uninstall Facebook, and any other app, from your Android device.
If you see the icon for Facebook on your Android device's home screen, follow these steps.
If you're unable to locate the Facebook icon, or have problems dragging the icon to Uninstall, use this method.
You can continue to use Facebook after uninstalling the App, using your built-in browser. Using Facebook this way results in a lot fewer crashes (if any), faster performance, and greatly improved battery life. Keep in mind, you won't get notifications from Facebook, though.
You can use Facebook from your mobile web browser without it using anywhere near as much battery, without notifications, and in many cases it will be much more stable.
