How to Update a DJI Spark Drone

Spark is a mini drone that features all of DJI's signature technologies, allowing you to seize the moment whenever you feel inspired. With intelligent flight control options, a mechanical gimbal, and a camera with incredible image quality, Spark empowers you to push your creative boundaries.

DJI frequently releases updates to its firmware and app to keep your drone running smooth. This guide will explain how to download and install these updates.

To start, we need to know whether you're using an Android, iOS, or PC device to update your Spark.

3. Update with DJI GO 4 App (Android)

1. Launch the DJI GO 4 app.
   

1. Tap Update Now at the top left of the screen to enter the update firmware screen.
   

1. Click the blue Download Now button.
   

1. After the download has completed, you will be prompted to connect to your Spark’s own Wi-Fi signal.
   

1. Open Settings on your phone or tablet.
   

1. Select Wi-Fi.
   

1. Select the Spark network from the list.
   

1. Enter the Wi-Fi password, that is on the box, and inside the battery compartment of your Spark. Then select Connect.
   

1. Return to the DJI Go 4 app and select Start Update.
   

1. Do not leave the app or turn the drone off in this process.
2. The drone will restart automatically.
3. Once the update has been installed a prompt will appear, click OK.
   

1. When you go back to the home screen a banner should appear at the top of the screen.
2. We recommend you manually restart your DJI Spark before you begin flying.
