• Check, and update the firmware on your Netgear Range Extender.

Before We Begin:

• Be at a computer connected to your Range Extender.

2. How to Update

Make sure you are connected to your Netgear Range Extender with your computer or smart device before continuing.

1. Open your preferred web browser.
   

1. In the address bar at the top, type in www.mywifiext.net then press Enter or Return.
   

1. Enter your Email address and the password you choose when you setup the Range Extender, then select Log In.
   

1. Select Firmware Update on the left.
   

1. Select Check Online.
   

1. If a new version is available, information about it will be displayed here. Select Yes to update the firmware.
   

1. The Range Extender will download and apply the update automatically.
   

1. Your Range Extender will reboot on its own.
   

1. Wait one minute, then reconnect your devices to your Range Extender.
   

1. Your Range Extender is now up to date.
