This guide will walk you through the basic uses of your remote.

For more information about your Harmony remote system, you can always visit support.myharmony.com on your computer.

4. Charge Remote

  1. Set the remote into the charging cradle that's plugged into the wall.

The device charge will appear in the top-right corner of the screen of the remote.

5. Use App

This feature requires the MyHarmony program on your computer, or Harmony app on your mobile device.

6. Type

For our next step, we need to determine what kind of device you are using.

7. Add Favorite Channel

  1. Open the MyHarmony program.

  1. Select your remote.
  2. Select Favorites, then Edit Your Favorite Channels.

  1. Select the channel list you'd like to look through, then place a Star next to the channels you'd like as Favorites.

  1. When done, select Next at the bottom.
  2. Move your Favorites to the desired position on your remote by dragging them. Once complete, select Finish.

8. Sync Remote

On your Harmony Remote

  1. Select the Settings gear in the top-left corner of the screen.

9. Add Favorite Channel

  1. Select the Harmony app.

  2. Select Add/Edit Devices & Activities.
  3. Select Favorites.

  1. Select an empty slot, then select > at the top. Select a channel you'd like to have as a favorite in that spot, then select Next.

10. Add Devices & Activities

  1. If you already have a Harmony account, sign in. Otherwise, select CREATE ACCOUNT.

  2. You'll be guided through several screens explaining how your Harmony device works.

  2. If you have a previous Harmony remote and would like to import its devices and Activities, you will be able to copy them over to your new Harmony device. If you do not have a previous Harmony remote, select No, Set Up New.

  3. Harmony will first try to detect some of your connected devices such as Sonos, Roku and Philips hue.
  4. Press the Add Device button at the bottom of your screen to add additional home entertainment and home automation devices.
  5. If required, Harmony will ask you to enter the username and password for some of your services so we may communicate with them.

  2. Harmony will either automatically create Activities or guide you through creating them based on the devices discovered to help set up your one-touch experience.

  2. You'll now be able to configure up to 50 Favorite TV Channels. Enter your zip code to help find local service providers, then select from a pre-populated list of channels.
