4. Power
Press the Power button on your headphones.
Your headphones will automatically connect to the last Bluetooth device it was connected to when you turn it on.
Use the same button, holding for 5 seconds, to turn off your headphones.
5. Range Check
The device needs to be within a reasonable range in order to connect.
In general, to pair and use a Bluetooth device (like a speaker, headset or smartwatch), the device needs to be within 10 feet of your computer or other device.
Some medium and higher-power devices can be farther, up to about 30 feet, but this tends to be for larger devices that plug in or have very large batteries, such as another computer, media streaming device, or a plug-in speaker system.

Connect your headphones to your computer using the charging cable.
On your computer, go to http://your.beatsbydre.com/.
Expand the headband and look at the slider above the right earcup.
Enter the serial number of your headphones, then select Verify My Serial Number.
Follow the instructions on screen to download and run the Beats updater.
