The basic functionality of the Ecobee app to modify settings on your Ecobee Switch+
Before We Begin:
Have the Ecobee app installed on your smartphone or tablet
Be near your Ecobee Switch+
2. Ecobee App Features
Generally, the Ecobee app allows you to register and modify the behavior of your Ecobee Switch+.
Normally, you do not need to use the app; you will interact with your Ecobee Switch+ with the buttons on the Switch+ itself, speaking to it for Alexa commands, or simply being nearby and letting it automate your lights for you.
3. Turn On or Off Light
You have multiple ways to turn on or off the lights attached to your Ecobee Switch+.
Using the Physical Button
Press the large physical button on the Ecobee Switch+ one time.
The light will turn on or off.
Using the Ecobee App
Open the Ecobee app.
Select Switches.
Select your Switch+ from the list.
You can see if your light is on or off on this screen, as well.
Select the large button in the center of the screen to turn your lights on or off.
Using Your Voice
Say to your Switch+ or any other Alexa-enabled device in your home:
"Alexa, turn on my [name of the room where Switch+ is located] lights."
"Alexa, turn off my [name of the room where Switch+ is located] lights."
Using Auto-On and Auto-Off
By default, your Ecobee Switch+ will sense you coming into the room using the occupancy detector built-into the switch itself, and turn on the light.
When you leave the room, after a set period of time, the light will automatically turn off.
You can adjust how long the lights stay on using the Ecobee App.
4. Use Smart On / Off
The Smart On / Off features do the following:
Smart On - automatically turns on your light when you walk into a dark room, using occupancy and daylight sensors.
Smart Off - automatically turns off your light a few minutes after you leave an empty room.
They are only available when your switch is set to operate indoor lighting.
If the switch is set to operate outdoor lighting, you can change the operation mode if you tap the Info symbol ( circle around lower case i ) in the top right then select indoor lighting.
You can toggle the switch to the right of a Smart Feature's name to turn it on or off.
Or you can tap a Smart Feature's name to get more details or customize its options.
For Smart On
You can configure:
Daylight detection - If enabled, Smart On only activates when the room is dark
Do not disturb - If enabled, Smart On doesn't activate between set times
Tap an option's name to configure it.
For Daylight detection, toggle the switch to the right to turn the option on or off.
For Do not disturb, toggle the switch to the right to turn the option on or off and set the activation time interval.
For Smart Off

To change the type of lighting your ecobee Switch+ operates:
Tap the Info symbol ( circle around lower case i ) in the top right.
And choose the type of lighting your ecobee Switch+ operates.
To enable or disable Night Light:
Toggle the switch on the right to turn the feature on or off.
