Before You Begin:
Install Sylvania Smart Home App
Sylvania offers a number of different products, each with a slightly different way they are used.
Bluetooth Products
The Sylvania Smart Home App can be used to control the Bluetooth line of Smart+ bulbs.
Zigbee and Lightify Products
Zigbee bulbs in the Sylvania Smart+ line depend on your Zigbee hub which is a separate product, and do not use the Sylvania Smart Home App.
Zigbee Home Hubs
We offer guides for the following hubs to add your Zigbee bulbs to directly.
This guide covers using the Sylvania Smart Home app. It is entirely possible to use your bulbs without Sylvania's app. If you are using one of the other major systems to control your bulbs, we have guides available to help with those apps, instead.
Google Assistant
If you setup or use Google Home or Google Assistant automation most often, it may be best to stick with the Google Home app.
Apple HomeKit
If you setup or use Google Home automation most often, you may want to use the HomeKit app instead.
Amazon Alexa or Echo
If you setup or prefer using your Alexa or Echo system to control your lights, you can use the Alexa app.
Sylvania Smart+ App
This guide will focus on the app provided by Sylvania.
The Sylvania Smart+ app is group-based, meaning it relies on you setting up groups, or rooms, to control your devices together in each room you setup.
Once you have your groups, or rooms, setup, you can add your lights.
The Sylvania Smart+ app allows you to adjust a whole room of lights, or each light individually.
Adjust Entire Room
On / Off
Directly from the home screen are on / off switches for each of your room.
Brightness / Color
Each room has a brightness and color control to the bottom right of its tile.
