How to Watch Netflix on a Roku

1. Introduction

Bringing the massive library of your favorite and new exclusive Netflix content to your big-screen TV couldn't be easier with your Roku. This guide will get you up and enjoying your favorite shows and movies in no time.

Netflix is a paid-for service, and you will need to purchase an account before being able to watch.

2. Ensure Netflix is Installed

In most cases, you'll have the Netflix Channel already installed on your Roku, and you won't have to do anything.

1. Press the Home button on your remote.
   

1. Look in the list of Channels on the right, if you see a Netflix tile, the Netflix app is installed and ready to use on your Roku.
   

If Netflix is already installed, you can skip the rest of this step.

If the Netflix Channel is Missing

1. Press the Home button on your remote.

Finding Content

Programs and movies you've specifically marked that you want to watch.

Spotlight

A new movie or show Netflix feels is important.

Settings

Change settings for your Netflix service such as changing your email address or password.

Exit Netflix

A way to close the Netflix channel on your Roku (similar to simply pushing the Home button.

Controlling Content

Once you have a movie or TV show playing, you can use your Roku remote to control the playback.

Power

Turns your whole Roku on or off.

Back

Jumps back one screen.

Home

Exit Netflix and return to the Roku's Home screen.

Up, Down, Left, Right

Navigate menus up, down, left, and right.

OK Button
