How to Watch Netflix on a Roku

1. Introduction

Bringing the massive library of your favorite and new exclusive Netflix content to your big-screen TV couldn't be easier with your Roku. This guide will get you up and enjoying your favorite shows and movies in no time.

To manage your Netflix Subscription, you can do so from the Netflix Homepage.

2. Ensure Netflix is Installed

In most cases, you'll have the Netflix Channel already installed on your Roku, and you won't have to do anything.

  1. Press the Home button on your remote.

  1. Look in the list of Channels on the right, if you see a Netflix tile, the Netflix app is installed and ready to use on your Roku.

If the Netflix Channel is Missing

  1. Press the Home button on your remote.

  1. A message opens letting you know the channel has been added to the end of your Home screen. Select OK.

3. Launch the Netflix App for the First Time

The first time you launch Netflix on your Roku, you'll be asked for some basic login information.

If you've used Netflix previously on your Roku, you can skip this step.

  1. Launch Netflix on your Roku.
  2. Press the Home button on your remote.

You can always access Netflix from your Roku Home screen.

Finding Content

Netflix tries to recommend shows it thinks you'll enjoy, based on things you've previously watched. If you don't see what you're looking for, you can always access search, your list, or other categories on the far left.

At the very top are the Profiles you've setup to track each person's individual watch habits, as well as a special Kids profile that has access to only kid-safe programming.

Lets you search for specific shows and movies by name.

Spotlight

A new movie or show Netflix feels is important.

Settings

Change settings for your Netflix service such as changing your email address or password.

A way to close the Netflix channel on your Roku (similar to simply pushing the Home button.
