Before You Begin:
Circles App
The Circles App allows you to control the parental settings on your router. If you don't already have it installed, select the link below to get Circles.
The Circle app will guide you through the initial setup of your Parental Controls on your Netgear router.
This guide will help you through the three main functions of parental control available in Circle; Filter, Time Limits, and Bedtime.
Advanced Features
The Circle app provides a wealth of other features. If you are looking to explore the more in-depth features, visit the Circle website.
You can set the filtering level for each family member you setup.
Kid
Best for kids six to 12 years old. Educational websites and other kid-safe websites are allowed, but items for older kids, like social media, are blocked.
Teen
Best for teens 13 to 17 years old. Most apps are available, but items deemed adult in nature are invisible or blocked.
Adult
Most items are allowed, though explicit and mature content is filtered.
None
Allows access to all content.
Time Limits can be used to set how long members of your home can use a particular app or program, or the Internet as a whole.
You can choose to limit times on each app, or the time on the Internet as a whole directly under the portrait.
Don't forget to select Save when done making changes!
Setting a bedtime disables all Internet access when your family member should be asleep.
