This guide will help you understand what the different lights of the status indicator on your Sonos One speaker mean, to help you get a better handle on what your speaker is trying to tell you as it's being used. This can help you determine if things are working as intended, or if there is a problem you'll need to remedy to get things working properly again.
2. Status Indicator Lights
There is one status light on your Sonos One speaker.
Each color represents a different status:
Solid White Light
Your Sonos One is powered up and functioning properly.
No Light
Your Sonos One is not powered on.
Flashing White Light
Your Sonos One booting up after being plugged into power.
Solid Green Light
Your Sonos One is muted or at zero volume.
Flashing Green Light
Your Sonos One is powered up and is ready to be set up, or added to an existing Sonos system.
Solid Orange Light
Your Sonos One is in a warning mode and may be in danger of overheating.
Flashing Orange Light
Indicates that playback on your Sonos One has failed.
Alternating Orange and White Light
Your Sonos One is experiencing a fault condition.
Flashing Red Light
Your Sonos One has been powered up but not connected using the Sonos Controller App.
Alternating Green and White Light
Your Sonos One has not yet been registered to your Sonos account.
Alternating Red and White Light
Your Sonos One has failed partitioning during the update process.
